About DogDharma

Dog Dharma is written by a human who loves dogs and who believes dogs have attained enlightenment. The human behind Dog Dharma came from humble origins, has faced many trials, enjoyed many adventures, and taken a path less traveled. He claims no special privilege or expertise, and remains humble. Dog Dharma‘s author has learned a few things along the way, and has much yet to learn. He has been told by many people that he has a talent for writing, and aspires to write a book, but is a little too lazy and disorganized, so his blog will suffice for now. He opens a window into his life in the hope that some of his words may be of comfort, some may be a beacon or warning, and perhaps he will connect with like-minded souls. Everything shared comes from a place of openness and honesty, but with no claim that he possesses the Truth. People and places mentioned should be taken as pseudonyms. In many cases, details may be an amalgamation of actual events disguised to protect the “innocent.” Nothing written is to be taken as actual fact, but as the author of Dharma Dog‘s limited understanding. Thank you, safirefalcon! I have always loved this song, too, and I was amazed when I found her version. If you look at it on YouTube, you’ll see she has other stuff as well. I’ll bet she has some other gems! Thanks for reading, listening, and commenting!

That was great Terry. What a voice. Did you do that drawing? I really like that too!

She sounds a bit like Melissa Etheridge to me, with an endearing non-English accent. I can’t lay claim to the drawing — it was just something I found that seemed to fit, though I’ve done a couple that are very similar. I need to get back to my drawing! Thanks so much for your supportive comments, Mandy. It was one of “those” days…

Melissa Etheridge–wow. I don’t listen to music much these days but I remember loving her music! Loved her voice, too. I wish you would do some drawing–I can’t remember what you posted once that blew me away when you said they were your creations. You have so many talents. Sorry you had a rough day. Me too. But today’s a new day so I’m going to pretend it was an isolated incident! Wish me-and you- luck! 🙂

Mandy, I hope today was better for you. I’ll get back to my drawing soon enough. Right now (or write now), I feel like I’m juggling so much that someone should be paying me. 🙂

If you like Melissa Etheridge, did you like Janis Joplin? If so, you might enjoy Melissa’s version of “Piece of My Heart”: http://youtu.be/hXlaeVDd_Tg
